The iPad and…

So I went into a _reputable_ electronic store this week for a last minute cable requirement. Next to the miscellaneous wires section is a collection of wipes and cases – the usual gear.

Here’s what I noticed, cloths and cleaners that are “suitable for iPhones, iPads, and tablets.”

It’s significant that “tablets” are not iPads. It’s almost like they are a completely different category of device. Notice that no other smartphones are listed.

It’s amazing how much of a mindshare headstart Apple has in this department. It has become an Apple and “also rans” situation.
